Assemblies And Collective Worship
Assemblies are an important feature of our collective identity at Cardinal Pole Catholic School.
Each year group has a weekly assembly and pupils are encouraged to take part in assemblies and to lead collective worship at all levels. To this end form groups take it in turns to deliver an assembly to their peers every half term. Assemblies are not optional and all pupils attend.
Holy Days of Obligation are celebrated across the entire school and all pupils are expected to attend Mass.
On days when pupils do not have a designated assembly, they are expected to have a time of prayer and reflection during their form time in the morning. The school focuses on a different religious theme each week and all pupils are encouraged to discuss and reflect upon this theme during form time.
