Our Safeguarding & Wellbeing Team at Cardinal Pole School

If you have any safeguarding concerns regarding your own child or any other child, you can contact the safeguarding team by calling the school office and leaving a message for Mr O'Donoghue or by emailing enquiries@cardinalpole.co.uk and putting Safeguarding Team in the subject line. All concerns will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. You can also contact the police on 999 if urgent or 101 if not urgent. Hackney Children's Services can also be contacted on 0208 3565500 (9am to 5pm Mon-Fri) or 0208 3562710 (out of hours and weekends) or by email at MASH@hackney.gov.uk.

Our Student Wellbeing Team

In addition to our Safeguarding Team we also have an in-school Student Wellbeing Team which is overseen by our Senior Mental Health Lead, Mr Shahidur Rahman. Our Wellbeing Team is comprised of:

  • Nathalie Roset, Julie Watson & Farah Bajull: A-Space School Counsellors
  • James Woodward: CAMHS Worker in School (CWIS)

  • Chantay Okunowo-Adedeji: 6th Form Pastoral Support Manager

If you have any concerns about your own child's or any child's mental wellbeing, you can contact the team by calling the school office and leaving a message for Peter McEvoy or Cynthia John or by emailing enquiries@cardinalpole.co.uk and putting Wellbeing Team in the subject line. Any concern will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. You can of course also contact your own GP.
