School Mission
An Outstanding Catholic School
Mission and Values
Cardinal Pole School is a Catholic community with a long history of success, with state-of-the-art facilities. It is a well-established mixed 11-19 comprehensive school with a wealth of achievements and experience. Cardinal Pole Catholic School is described by Ofsted 2017 as a 'Good school with Outstanding 6th Form'. The Diocese of Westminster in their recent inspection not only graded the school as ‘Outstanding’ in every category, the report commented that our ‘distinctive inclusive ethos of this school is tangible in every area of school life from classroom to corridors and in relationships between students and staff’ and described progress as outstanding. Importantly, it described the school as a ‘safe place that allows all to flourish’ and a place where ‘Students make outstanding progress’. Post 16 results are consistently graded 'Outstanding' and results at GCSE compare well against nationals and students make excellent progress. We are especially proud of the successful progression secured by our students as the move to higher education and employment; examples of this include our current Chair of Governors Justin Madubuko, Business Development Manager at Barclays, Oscar Murillo, Turner Prize Winner and Bukky Bakray BAFTA Winner.
A real strength of the school is the combination of academic success underpinned by a shared ethos based on Catholic Christian values and an emphasis on nurturing positive relationships for which they were praised in the recent Ofsted and greatly valued by our parents and school community. The school upholds core principles of Service, Opportunity, Aspiration and Reward. We aim to provide a dynamic and inclusive educational experience that encourages independent and confident learners. We know that success comes through hard work and we constantly strive for this in partnership with the children and their families so that all children make excellent progress.
The school is led by highly qualified and dedicated professionals who are committed to the success of all.
School Vision
Cardinal Pole Catholic School is an educating community for all based on partnership and respect. It is a strong and vibrant place which recognises the importance and individual needs of every pupil and member of staff. Our well-being and PSHE programme is outstanding.
Praise and encouragement are vital in creating a climate of learning and high expectations, supported by teaching of the highest quality.
The school is full of confident, creative and fulfilled young people and staff. They are celebrated as individuals – unique creations of God – who deserve our support, love and trust as they begin the great journey of life.
We look forward to meeting you.
