Cardinal Pole Catholic Schools Senior Leadership Team are all highly experienced and outstanding practitioners. 

The Senior Leadership Team are listed below. 

Adam Hall

Executive Headteacher

Mr Hall is the Executive Headteacher at Cardinal Pole Catholic School. Mr Hall is responsible for leading and having oversight of the entire school.

Mr Hall is the line manager for the Head of School, Deputy Headteachers, Director of Resources, Human Resources Officer and Headteachers PA.

Ellie Connolly

Deputy Headteacher

Ms Connolly is responsible for Quality for Education which includes Curriculum, Teaching and Learning & Assessment.

Alex O’Donoghue

Head of School

Mr O’Donoghue is responsible for Safeguarding, Behaviour and Personal Development which includes oversight of welfare, behaviour and standards for Years 10 & 11.

Mr O’Donoghue is the line manager for the Assistant Headteachers responsible for Behaviour and Attitudes and Personal Development and Transition, as well as Head of Years 10 & 11, the Safeguarding Coordinator and WAMHS team.

Mr O’Donoghue is the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

Charlotte Brennan

Assistant Headteacher

Ms Brennan is responsible for Quality for Education which includes Curriculum, Teaching and Learning & Assessment.

Ms Brennan is the line manager for the Assistant Headteacher for Teaching & Learning (CPD and ITE/ECT’s) as well as the Head of Mathematics, Data and Exams Manager and Assistant Headteacher for Sixth Form

Sian McVittie

Assistant Headteacher

Ms McVittie is responsible for Quality of Education – Teaching and Learning (QA and CPD).

Ms McVittie is the line manager for the Head of Department Science, Business & Economics, Modern Foreign Languages and Art, Design & Technology.

Shahidur Rahman

Assistant Headteacher

Mr Rahman is responsible for Student personal Development which includes our comprehensive Extra-curricular programme, Student Council/Voice and whole school rewards.

Mr Rahman is the line manager for the Head of Department Geography, Social Science and the Career Guidance Manager.

Tom Read

Assistant Headteacher

Mr Read is responsible for the Sixth Form, including their welfare, behaviour and standards.

Mr Read is the line manager for the Head of Year 12 and 13 as well as the Sixth Form Pastoral Support Managers and Head of Computer Science.

Mr Read is the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the Sixth Form.

Clodagh Benning

Assistant Headteacher

Ms Benning is responsible for Quality of Education Teaching and Learning for QA and ITE/ECTs as well as having oversight of ECT and PGCE student mentors.

Ms Benning is the line manager for the Lay Chaplain, and Heads of History and Music as well as having oversight of all PGCE and ECT mentors.

Gabriela Toma

Assistant Headteacher

Ms Toma is the Head of the SEND Department and is the schools designated SENDCO. Ms Toma is also responsible for oversight of student attendance and punctuality.

Ms Toma is the line manager for the Deputy SENDCO, SEND Team, Attendance Officer, Librarian, EWO & School Counsellors.

Leonicio Tavares

Assistant Headteacher

Mr Tavares is responsible for Behaviour and Attitudes which includes the welfare, behaviour and standards for students in Years 8 and 9. This also includes behavioural interventions, alternative provision, inclusion curriculum and provision as well as parental engagement.

Mr Tavares is the line manager for the Head of Year 8 and 9 and Inclusion Manager.

Gemma Green

Assistant Headteacher

Ms Green is responsible for student transition as well as the welfare, behaviour and standard for students in Year 7.

This also includes liaising with primary schools, new intake evenings, open evenings and mornings as well as whole school marketing.

Ms Green is the line manager for the Head of Subject in Drama, Director of Sport, Head of PE and Assistant Head of Year 7.

Mylene Joa-Longartt

Director of Resources

Ms Joa-Longartt is the Director of Resources and has responsibilities for the operations of the school’s support services.

Ms Joa-Longartt is the line manager for Finance and Payroll Manager, Premises Manager, IT Apprentice as well as all external contractors.
